The River Murals
The River Murals: Canon A1 | Kodak 400 | 70-210mm

Her father was kind enough to show me around the city of Beloit while she was at work.
Among the places he took was a park that ran along the river.
He pointed out a small square building, and explained that it was an old box factory where his father used to work.
He also went on to mention that during breaks, the workers would sometimes open the windows and fish from the second floor since the river ran right by the building.
The building now sits quietly, and is devoid of such life.
A little farther up, some old mills still stand.
Some time ago the city commisioned some murals to be painted on its sides.
I enjoy how they add to the beauty I already see in these old industrial buildings.
