I didn't really notice the sign until after the film back, and even after reading it, it still was not the reason I like the shot. I've seen that same sign many times before. It had to be about the boogie board.

The over exposure in this shot is awesome. Donne said, "no man is an island," but sometimes they seem to be just so, men and islands.
When everything else just fades or disappears, we are all that is left. Who will answer the plea for help?
Is this an obvious outgrowth of my affinity for abstractions?
